a weird idea i had
was to stay up all night. yeah. i slept about a half hour on the plane(s) from tel aviv to austin, and I woke up at around 6:30 AM IL time on Sunday, which is 10:30 PM US time on Saturday. I am awake now on MONDAY at 10:30 AM. So that’s….36 hours, right? I’m not even tired, either. I miss everybody horribly.

you know why I like to bring my ukulele on trips? It makes me feel like I belong to the common cause of the traveling musician. While I wander the airport, I make eye contact with others who are carrying instruments. They generally offer me a nod, or ask, “uke?” It helps me to feel that I have a connection to total strangers.
